Saturday Splurge and Who Wore What Best

Splurge! I love sweatshirt dresses right now, everything seems so comfy and sporty, and I love this on because of the colorblocks one it. Here
Rachel Zoe (with Rodger Berman) at Vogue's Dinner Honoring Vera Wang for her new store opening on Melrose. Her dress is so floral and fun, and doing it in just black and white was beautiful.

AnnaLynne McCord at Fundraisers for Global Green USA and Artists for Peace and Justice. The draping of the chiffon is so beautiful and the olive green looks gorgeous.

Elettra Wiedemann at Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb's Fifth Anniversary

Zoe Saldana at the Louis Vuitton and Glamour Magazine party. Love the graphic/tribal print.

The Frugal Friday Four under $50!!

Crops tops are in every magazine for this summer. I love the tie-dye cropped tank!

Speaking of tie-dye, I love this pair of $12 sunglasses! So big and colorful!

Love metallic, love pink, love clutches...and I love this bag!

Remember the big satin bows at the Marc by Marc Jacobs show? I found one in black for $8 (even though I'm sure all of you fashionistas could make one!). Here

Enjoy the weekend and check back tomorrow!

A new Bond fragrance is coming out this March! It is called High Line after an elevated park system in New York City that runs from Gansevoort Street to 34th Street on Manhattan's West Side. There are 210 plant species in the park which all inspired the perfume. The fragrance boasts notes of Indian rhubarb, bergamot, and prairie grazing weed. Sounds delicious and fresh for a city girl!

Hourglass Cosmetics is coming out with a new lipgloss this month. In a futuristic package that can slide right into your back pocket, this gloss is perfect for taking out. The gloss is super silky and is available at Sephora.

Gwen Stefani's line of fragrances is represented by 5 Harajuku girls, each with a distinct style. For the summertime, they are coming out in some flirty bikinis!

If you like Nars Orgasm blush like the rest of the population, you will be happy to know that they are coming out with a sheer liquid illuminator called, Orgasm Illuminator, out this month.

Alice In Wonderland Premiere

Countdown to the Alice movie has begun! It opens Friday, I can't wait! At the premiere for the movie, stars and royalty were all dressed up for the exciting Tim Burton adaptation. Here were some of my favorite outfits from the night.

Newcomer Mia Wasikowska in Valentino Couture, she plays Alice in the movie

Johnny Depp looking good as always

Jemma Powell in Stephen Webster jewelry, dress designer unknown

Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the Red Queen, had a clutch custom- made and inspired by her character. On the back it said "Off with her head!"

Trend Prediction: Maxi-skirt

I love a maxi skirt, not the gothic/grunge ones from the 90's but the sleek and updated version of a maxi skirt. All things long are my favorite, I wish I could wear long dresses every day! The maxi skirt can be dressed up or paired casually with a white tee. Mini skirts have been so fashionable and I think it's time to start a new look with a long skirt! I looked around for some designers from Fashion Week in Milan that showed maxi skirts, so excited!

Emilio Pucci, Fall 2010. This is pure genius with the feathers and jewels on the bottom. ( I think a maxi skirt looks best too with a tight-fitted top)

Marco de Vincenzo Fall 2010 ready-to-wear. Just wow, this looks so flattering and so well made. This was only Vincenzo's second year at Milan Fashion Week

Billowy Roberto Cavalli maxi skirt at the Fall 2010 show

Max Mara, Fall 2010

Moschino, Fall 2010 ready-to-wear

There are some celebrities who have also been seen wearing maxi skirts...

Kate Bosworth dressed up and gorgeous

Love how Mary-Kate Olsen styled this outfit...it's ideal for a maxi skirt look

Ashley Tisdale
