Chanel Couture Spring 2011

Chanel Couture Collection Spring 2011
An airy and luminous feel was taking over at the Chanel Couture Spring 2011 show this week when light colored pieces with a billowy yet structured feel were shown.  To give the collection a girlier feel, designer Karl Lagerfeld had all the models walk in the same black ballet flats with transparent straps going around their ankles and they only walked on the point of the shoe, like a ballerina. The edgier paradoxal vibe came from items like the black sequin pants, sheer skirts and other embellished pieces.

A double-breasted cream and black jacket with denim blue pants
A pale pink skirt-suit paired with black ballet flats
A black dress coat over a white blouse with black satin bow, black sequin pants and black ballet flats

A pale pink off the shoulder dress
A voluminous yet oddly flattering a-line dress with ruffled sleeves and underskirt paired with black ballet flats
An embellished lilac jacket over an even more embellished lilac tunic and pair of light pink slacks with black ballet flats
An airy and luminous feel came from this sheer long skirt and embellished v-neck top
An all sheer outfit brought together by embellishments and layering of the fabric

A long loose, double-breasted coat

  1. I think I'm gradually losing my passion for Chanel. Its show is not as good as it used to be. Too bad :(

  2. Ah the last two shows haven't been my favorite either, but I did love Fall 2010 RTW...which was about 5 shows ago haha
