Frugal Friday Five Under $50: Cropped Pants

Sorry Fashionistas, been very busy this week with my final exams coming up and did not have much time to blog!
Cropped pants are something that you can wear from spring, through summer, and until fall.  They are NOT capri pants, some people make that mistake, they are straight-leg pants that fall anywhere from right above the ankle to below the knee.  They are a perfect pant to casually wear with flats throughout the day and then later on with a pair of chunky heels.  Numerous runways and celebrities have been seen displaying the trend.  Here are a few affordable pieces.  They're also very classic Audrey Hepburn!

Cropped pants on sale at the Gap for $14.99 (also available in white and black).  They also have about 5 other cute pairs on sale, but I couldn't choose them all!

Trend Prediction: Calf-length skirts

Designers for Fall 2010 were sending more conservative and ladylike styles down the runway this year.  Next trend prediction: the calf-length skirt.  It is flattering for all body types and appropriate for all ages.  You can start wearing it this summer by pairing it with platform sandals or wait until fall kicks in to pair it with boots or heels but keep in mind it looks best with higher heels because it helps to elongate the legs. Pair it with a cropped shirt, tight t-shirt, or blouse to get the most flattering look.  Here are some looks that were featured on the Fall 2010 runways.
