The British Fashion Council announced that Erdem Moralioglu is the winner of the first BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Award. The award is a $301,000 prize and access to fashion mentors across the industry. Moralioglu is thrilled about the prize as he currently only has a team of four people and two freelancers and the orders have been flooding in since his Spring/Summer 2010 show. The half-British, half-Turkish designer describes his clothes from a narrative. "I see each season, each show, as a new chapter in the same book of her life," he says. "It's a narrative, things happen to her, but the core girl is still the same. She's a girl who is colourful and sweet, elegant and hopefully effortless."

Trend Report: Parka

With utilitarian designs and sporty looks being so big, parkas have begun to crawl of the woodwork. It is a perfect springtime coat that is comfy cozy, prevents the rain, is versatile (wear it with jeans or a casual dress) and makes you look oh so stylish.

Trend Report: Camo

As all of us Fashionistas know, military has been a popular trend. So of course, camo print clothing seems perfect as our next trend to rock.

The first person to put camouflage gear on his runway was none other than designer John Galliano about a decade ago. The idea of military style however made a comeback about two years ago and is still in designers minds as a trend that consumers favor. Even for men, designer houses such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gareth Pugh were seen dishing out military-inspired menswear.
Have fun with this trend but DON'T overdo it!

More best of Paris fashion week!

Estrella Archs for Emmanuel Ungaro showed flirty, draped dresses and men inspired blazers and pants. I love the corset style belt and bubblegum pink pumps!

This Elie Saab cocktail dress reminded me of a spiderweb. The whole collection was done in black

Italian designer, Giambattista Valli, who has been suffering from the financial problems striking the fashion industry in Italy, had a 60's theme going on at his fashion show with mini dresses, sheer panels, cat eyes, and kitten heels.

An especially 60's style camel coat

All three of these colors go so well together, the orange bow makes this sequined cocktail dress.

Tons of cropped pants, mini dresses, chandelier earrings and flats only were shown at the Isabel Marant collection

John Galliano's models walked through a blizzard of silver glitter and were dressed as "a tribe of adventuring nomads". With crazy bows, hair, makeup and eccentric outfits, John Galliano showed off his distinct, theatrical style

Karl Lagerfeld's futuristic show had leather vinyl pants, structured jackets, big hair and orange lips. These pants were also shown in the form of a maxi skirt

Layers and embroidered patterns galore were at the Kenzo show designed by Antonio Marras who was inspired by the notion of freedom

Beauty Updates!

Orange lips are huge for spring and summer! But orange makeup makes me hesitate a little, I mean orange? After looking around a little bit I saw that the look actually can work and finding the right shade for your skin color is how to pull it off. If you are doing an orange lipstick make sure that the rest of your face looks natural; some bronzer, mascara, etc. Next you want to look at your hair color. Blondes look best in an orange tangerine color, brunettes should look for an orange sherbet, and those with dark hair and dark skin should look for a red orange. Redheads, you might want to stay away from this look, sorry! For a gloss, a fan of the orange lipstick trend, Rachel Zoe, recommends Makeup Forever Lipgloss #2 for $12
