Grazia Magazine Admits To Photoshopping Kate Middleton

In May, Spanish magazine Grazia featured newlywed Kate Middleton on their cover.  Rumors about Middleton's shrinking size had already been on tabloid covers but that didn't stop this magazine from photoshopping Middleton's waist to make her even thinner than her already notorious tiny frame!  The magazine just admitted this after a reader complained to the Press Complaints Commission.

The official statement says "Following a letter received from a Mr H about our royal wedding issue, Grazia magazine would like to clarify the process that led to our final cover image of the Duchess of Cambridge. We wanted a great image of the Duchess on her own, but all the photographs had the Duke in too. So we asked our reproduction house to remove him from the picture (common practice among glossy magazines). This would have left the Duchess with only one arm, so they copied over her arm to complete the picture. We would like to reassure all our readers that we did not purposely make any alterations to the Duchess of Cambridge’s image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression. Grazia takes the issue of women’s body image very seriously and we
would never ‘slim down’ a picture of a female role model."

What do you think?

Daphne Guinness And Amanda Harlech Channel One Another In V Magazine

Daphne Guinness And Amanda Harlech Chanel One Another In V Magazine
This month, V Magazine came out with their transformation issue.  Featured in the magazine are two best friends, Daphne Guinness (a personal fashion favorite of mine) and Amanda Harlech who dress as one another.  The photos were shot by Karl Lagerfeld in Paris.  Guinness wears an Alexander McQueen gown and Harlech wears Chanel Haute Couture.

The two speak of their role playing here.

Amanda Harlech
"When I walked on set with my blonde hairpieces, Karl burst out laughing and said I looked like a hausfrau.  I won't be doing it again, but secretly I did love the allure of Daphne's blondeness.  It was like playing the princess role instead of always being the witch."

Daphne Guinness
"I trust Karl implicitly, but I wasn't entirely excited about becoming a brunette.  Yet, the end result was something magical: I was very surprised, and I wasn't expecting Karl to take as many pictures as he did.  I sort of channeled Amanda at the end, and she was channeling me, and it was extraordinary.  Let's be honest: it could have gone horribly wrong, but it was a stroke of genius on Karl's part."

Oh to call him Karl.....

Gossip Girl Clothing Line

The moment so many of us have been waiting for...a clothing collection based on the CW show Gossip Girl.  Warner Bros. has partnered up with clothing company Romeo and Juliet Couture to showcase the unique styles of Gossip Girl characters (mainly Serena Van Der Woodsen, it has been nicknamed the 'Blake Lively line').  The collection will debut this weekend at the Coterie trade show in NYC.  The line will later be sold at Kitson, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus (hopefully by the very end of this month since Gossip Girl premieres on September 26).  The clothes range from $80 to $200.  An accessories and bag line will supposedly be following this collection and debut next year. Here is a sneak peak of some outfits!
