Trend Prediction: Slicked back hair

A hair style that was on the 2010 runways was slicked back hair with an almost wet look to it.  The look seems to be an influence from the futuristic styles we have all been seeing.  This style can be created by slicking back (or to the side) hair with gel (try Kiehl's Clean-Hold Styling gel ) and a wide toothed comb or fingers.  This hairstyle has a futuristic and hardcore vibe to it.  It can be sleek and mature when slicked to the side, can be ruffled on the side for a more rugged, rock star look, or slicked all the way back...that's just cool.

At the Spring 2010 Roberto Cavalli show a more laid-back hair slicked style was used (try tousling hair to the side with wet gel in it)

Where else do we see the trend?

Kristen Stewart slicked her hair back with what looks like minimal amounts of gel just for the top because she has such long hair.  I like this look the best for people with long hair, a little bit messy and a classic Kristen Stewart look.

Better on Kim or Chloe?

Not everyone may love this hairstyle, but pulling your hair so far away from your face makes you exude confidence and sexiness, and for younger girls it can give you a more mature look if slicked back properly.  Try it out!
