Faux Real?

I'm sure all of my fashionistas have picked up on the fur (faux and real) trend for this upcoming fall.  Fur was spotted on practically every fall runway in an array of styles and forms.  There were hooded fur jackets (Thakoon, Elie Tahari) , fur vests (J.Mendel, Versace, Anna Sui) , fur peacoats (Burberry),  pattchworked coats (Fendi and Acne), bear coats (also at Burberry Prorsum)  dip-dyed coats (Zac Posen) , leopard vests (Dries Van Noten), bright fur (Giorgio Armani), fur trousers (Chanel)  and the list goes on!  Fur was also on accessories such as handbags (Michael Kors, Dennis Basso), on shoes (Chanel), as a scarf (J.Mendel, Carolina Herrera), hats (Oscar de la Renta, Isaac Mizrahi)

Why designers are using more fur than ever before during a recession where not all that many people are buying luxurious items is unknown, but what's good about it is that through the reverse-trickle effect of fashion, faux fur is becoming more popular and certainly trendy.  (Designer Stella McCartney used faux fur in her collection).

Here are some less high-end designers who used FAUX fur.
