After seeing all of the luxurious fur that was on the Fall runways, we only had to expect that more luxe was to come. In slight relation to all of the beige that popped out on the runway, gold has also been making its own bold statement, and mainly in metallic fabrics. (Metallic fabrics were also big this past spring and will continue through the 2011 resort trends). However, gold is just happening everywhere from designers, Jason Wu, Diane von Furstenberg, Dries Van Noten, Marco Zanini for Rochas, Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen, Peter Som, Christopher Decarnin for Balmain, and more. Other designers added gold accessories into the mix, which is perfect for those unwilling to whip out a pair of shocking gold pants, or a metallic gold dress. But, there were also some minimal takes on the gold approach as well. Check out some of the designs below!
