Jason Wu Fall 2011 RTW review

Jason Wu Fall 2011 RTW
Jason Wu said the inspiration for his Fall 2011 collection was a Robert Polidori book on the 25 year-old restoration of Versailles.  You could most certainly tell too, as his collection of baroque style clothing was displayed in colors such as violet, burgundy, gold, and pink and consistently embellished with either lace or clusters of stones.  As always, the tailoring was impeccable and was featured in voluminous skirts, structural blazers, tight-fitting pants, and draped evening gowns.
A striped knit sweater over a printed silk blouse was paired with skinny black pants that have lace embellishments on the side and was accessorized with a white clutch and black pumps
A white tuxedo jacket was worn over a sheer white blouse that had a matador style collar with bow and was paired with skinny black pants, a black clutch, aviators, and black pumps
A lace embellished dress with a black skinny belt, black pumps, and sunglasses
This burgundy hooded jacket and silk blouse with black bow looked perfect with the black skinny pants, black pumps, and burgundy lady-like purse
A voluminous black dress with a white underskirt was shown with fishnet tights, black pumps, and a black lace headpiece
This black dress had high-waisted black feather embellishments with red feathers peaking out underneath and was paired with black fishnet tights, black pumps, and a small black clutch
A beautifully beaded chiffon and silk blouse was paired with a black maxi skirt with black chiffon overlay and black skinny belt
A casual gray sweated was embellished with lace down the sleeves matched with skinny black pants, black pumps, and a white handbag
An absolutely beautifully embellished evening gown!
