Trend Report: Tattoo

New and very cool- Philip Lim has made a very chic looking leather shirt!

It's cropped with short-sleeves and buttons down the front. What to pair something like this with? Try some high-wasited denim or wide-legged trousers, maybe even just throw it on top a tank like a jacket.

Upcoming Trend: Tatoos

No, not the ones on your body, but the tatoo "look". Chanel first gave the tatoo look some notice during it's 2010 Spring Runway Show where the models looked like they had been inked. The show was an instant success and now Chanel is launching a line of tattoo transfers available March 1 at Chanel boutiques, Selfridges and online at Chanel.com at $75 for 55 transfers. The most wearable of these designs will be the chain link bracelet.

Both Chanel Spring 2010
Designer Jean Paul Gaultier faux-tattooed his runway models this fall with the models names on their faces and legs, while Rodarte painted their runway models in tribal patterns. This trend adds a seemingly rocker vibe to all the feminine and delicated items we see for this coming spring.

The tattoo inspired look is also showing up on clothes. Check out this "tattooed dress"

Check out these tattooed tights too by BeBaroque, super funky!
I am really, really loving this white sweater/tunic with the tattooed links all over it, so pretty and subtle.

I am so excited about this tattoo trend I think everyone will equally start loving! It's so fresh and different, Chanel really is the best of the best.
