Dsquared² Fall 2011 Collection
The old west was inspiration for Dsquared² designers Dean and Dan Caten's 2011 collection shown in Milan this past week. Lace-up boots (with some odd ice-skate blade heels), flannels, frayed and washed-out denim, floppy hats, fringe blankets worn as capes, peplum leather jackets, prairie style blouses with high collars, leather belts and gloves, and well, a lot more leather were on target with the cowboy-inspired theme
Love this look. The gray wool skirt (mixed blend it looks) falls so perfectly with the silhouette of this model's body. The black leather jacket has a fur collar and is paired with a white tee over a purple tank, belt, black floppy hate and there is a pop of color with the blue leather gloves
Not a favorite outfit of mine, but this color pink is extremely popular for fall 2011
Tight leather pants paired with knee-high lace up boots, a black jacket with a fur collar and belt, black leather gloves, black floppy hat, and white button-down with a black tie underneath the jacket
A full a-line shaped gray wool jacket worn with worn out denim, cream lace-up booties, white tee, brown suede gloves, brown belt, a corset style belt, and black floppy hat
Black leather maxi skirt (love) paired with a black suede corset style belt, high-collared and embellished blouse, with tan suede gloves and black floppy hat
Gray wool dress with suspender style torso, white button-down shirt with black bow tie, fur collar, black leather gloves, an embellished belt, and black hat that is more stiff than the past ones
What do you think of this collection? Was the Wild West theme overdone or did it complement the show?
