John Galliano Fall 2011 RTW Review

John Galliano Fall 2011 RTW
John Galliano's namesake collection came out this week, after the Dior show and amidst the gossip of the highly publicized anti-Semetic remarks made by Galliano.  The show was downgraded to an informal presentation for only buyers and journalists and Galliano was not present.  The models had dark lips and retro hair giving the show 30s and 40s style dramatized glamour.  Galliano tried to help his case by having every model display a Star of David tattoo.  The clothes demonstrated absolute luxury with the use of furs, feathers, silk and wool fabric, and beautifully embroidered mesh embellishments.  The setting of the show was what was really spectacular, held in a vastly decorated ballroom in the Avenue Foch.  The fashion community, although extremely upset by the recent commotion, have been heard saying that this is one of the best collections shown in Paris...ever.  It is too bad that such a talented designer like Galliano has upset many people because from looking at his clothes  you cannot help but think how wildly gifted he is.
